Hi folks,

I know it’s been too long, but I finally managed to update the MicroHangars! You’ll find lots(!) of new MicroHangars, including Hangars for almost every ship released so far (a few are missing because I don’t have them yet, those will follow).

I suffered a major data crash and had to recreate a lot of stuff and from now on I’ll be using the Affinity software suite for almost everything. It’s significantly easier to use, a lot less time consuming and much cheaper than my previous workflow with Adobe Photoshop. Take a look at Serif.com if your into DTP. Creating all hangars again took me a while, but from now on it should be easier. At least I hope so.

However due to my very limited time frame (in fact I might have give up completely if Affinity wasn’t that much easier to use…) I have to step back a litte, meaning:

• No more PNG archive files. At least for the moment.
• No more alternate MicroHangars for different paint jobs. There are just too many of them by now to be handled within a reasonable time frame.
• No more other languages than English and German. Again, at least for the moment.
• No new GearBoxes. Those have to be recreated, as well.

I really hope you can live with those restrictions, but that’s all I can manage at the moment.

Let me know if you find any bugs, I’m sure there will be a few of them.

If everything goes well I will have wave 3 and 4 ships in my hands shortly, therefore I tried my best to publish one more Conversion Kit.

It’s done, you will find countless new boxes within the new Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit GearBoxes files. There will be bugs, of that I’m sure, please just let me know.

Next on my list is the Imperial Kit, but perhaps I’ll do some new hangars first, just for a change.

Hi there,

following an idea from the FFG forum, I started again with the Scum boxes. Now there 71(!) of them for the Conversion Kit available as a separate download file. Why? To make sure you get what you need, even if you don’t own the max number of ships to field each dial from the kit. Further explanation can be found on the GearBox subpage, hope you understand my approach.

Yes, the other Conversion Kit will get the same treatment anytime soon.

And yes, this actually feels like overkill 🙂

Woah.

That was… Never mind, it’s done. And I wouldn’t be able to do it that fast without the tremendous help of TKundNobody, who prepared a large and ugly excel sheet with all(!) pilot names, and skills, and box titles and more, so I could save a couple of hours work. Thanks a lot, buddy!

No fancy photo this time, as I don’t have the time at the moment to build 39(!) GearBoxes just to cover SWZ08, the Scum conversion kit. Yes, that’s quite a lot, but there are lots of tokens and stuff inside the kit.

I decided to build one box for each dial included in the kit, the pilots are spread somewhat equally around the boxes of the same ship type. This way you have room to store an additional base and peg, as usual.

I’m almost certain that there will be little bugs because of the sheer amount of print sheets, please don’t be mad, just tell me and I’ll see to it.

Finally …

yes, I’ve been a little radio silent as of lately, real life is so busy and hobby time almost not existant.

But I’ve managed to add the missing wave 2 stuff for now and am currently working on getting my hands on wave 3 for further stuff.

I even haven’t forgotten about Armada, the last two ships are still shrink wrapped on my shelf.

The first 2nd edition MicroHangars …

I know it’s been a long time, but I didn’t forget you, I was simply too busy with non-hobby stuff. But that’s enough. This far, no further. I proudly present to you the first bunch of MicroHangars and GearBoxes for X-Wing 2nd Edition! Please be patient, I know that still lots of ships are missing, but I’ve still not that much time at hand as in the past. I fully intend to continue and will publish further MicroHangars and GearBoxes in chronological order, sorted by their SKU number. Therefore, the Scum falcon will be next, already started working on it.

… adn the first 2nd edition GearBoxes.

Concering all other stuff I must tell you, that I don’t have enough free time at hand to do anything else than X-wing and a bit Armada in the foreseeable future. Very sorry, but after all it’s still a hobby. And a quite time consuming one.

Wave 12 & 13 MicroHangars.

sorry it took me so long, but they are finally here: The new MicroHangars for wave 12 and 13!

Building is pretty much straight forward, putting the ships inside should be self explanatory, in case you are having trouble take a look at the picture to see the angled position of some of the ships.

Open hangars.

The GearBoxes are already nearly done, just have to build a new cover page, changed my workflow a bit to get rid of Adobe InDesign. Stay tuned, shouldn’t take too long!

And me again,

managed to get another one done, the MicroHangars and GearBoxes have been updated and now include the Guns for Hire expansion. As usual you can simply download the …ADD files if you’re only interested in the new boxes. No picture this time, but the boxes have the same measurements as the already available standard StarViper and Kihraxz MicroHangars.
