X-Wing: New MiniManeuverCards

Hi X-Wing fans,

I know you’re waiting for more MicroHangars, I already took some photos of my new Heroes of the Resistance ships, those two are next on my list. U-wing and TIE Striker haven’t arrived here, yet.

MiniManeuverCards v6.0 preview

To keep you occupied, I’ve updated the MiniManeuverCards to v6.0, and since all dials from wave 10 have been spoiled I’ve added all five ships. Had to rearrange everything a bit, the epic ships have moved to a separate page. And the damn TIE Striker happens to be the first ships with eight(!) symbols in a single row. That sucks, I tried my best to get everything on the card, but the red maneuvers had to be scaled down a bit. Let me know if it doesn’t work!

Armada Wave 4 MicroHangars ready!

Hi everybody!

Wave 4 hangars.

As promised, I got a big bunch of new stuff just before christmas but it took me a few days to find enough time to make new stuff. I started with the Armada MicroHangars for the Liberty and Interdictor expansion. Here’s a preview picture, you’ll find some additional info on the corresponding page (there’s a new “wave 4” tab). I’ve not only added the new hangars to the existing files but also added a “v4.0add” file, which contains only those two new hangars.

EVEN NEWER EDIT: Upgraded the Upgrade Cards boxes to v2.0, they now include the three new categories. And the german dividers have been added, as well.

Three new dividers for upgrade cards.

you asked for additional dividers for the Armada CollectorBox, since there are three new upgrade categories by now. Here they come, for now only in english, the german version hasn’t been released yet, will add it as soon as I have the ships and the official translation from the rulebook.

More CollectorBox stuff incoming…

I’m busy working on a redesing of the CollectorBoxes, I plan to make a whole system for different needs (small cards like upgrades, big cards like ship/pilot cards, dials, maybe even X-Wing bases and ship tokens). Biggest change will probably be that those new boxes involve the use of foamboard, simply because the prototype for the bigger cards didn’t turn out very sturdy when made purely out of cardstock. And building all those 5mm walls out of paper is painful.

Here’s a preview of a blank CollectorBox for X-wing Pilot Cards, judge for yourself:

The complete box is build out of foamboard, but covered with cardstock, plain white. For now. The only visible part of the foamcore can be found within the lid. Stay tuned for further updates!

Waiting for new ships…

Hi everybody,

neither Armada wave 4 or X-Wing HotR have arrived in germany, but I was told that both may find their way to me before christmas…

A huge Imperial Assault package is nearly on it’s way (german version of Return to Hoth and Bespin Gambit), therefore I very much hope to finally have an incentive to catch up on Imperial Assault, as well.

To make the wait a little more bearable, I’ve added the missing upgrade cards boxes for X-Wing.

Armada again

Sorry for the slow pace, but as stated before, my analog life has been and is keeping my quite busy.

Nevertheless I finally found some time to add a new tuckbox version for Ship Cards and for Squadron Cards, both of them now include wave 4 and 5 listings on the back. They have been added quite a while ago, I simply forgot to tell you. Sorry.

Furthermore I’ve got quite a few inquiries about adding separate GearBoxes and MicroHangars for the Flotillas. Here they come! I decided not to build a hangar for two tiny flotillas on its own, since the little plastic pin will most likely break apart when you try to detach the ships from their stand. And the hangar would have been ridiculously small anyway. Therefore I’ve designed a hangar that holds both flotilla ships on its stand. The rest of the stuff got its own GearBox. Sorry, no photo, simply because I haven’t actually built it yet. But it’s the same size as before, so it should fit perfectly!

Let me know if I messed up anything, stay tuned for wave 4 hangars, the ships are about to be released in germany…

New cover page

Perhaps you’ll notice my completely rebuild cover page for those files, hope you like it (yes, I like that knight a LOT…), it’s now being generated automatically by InDesign and Excel, which spares me some time, editing and adding those pages has been a real pain until now. Believe it or not. I even dropped one or two detailed content listings, simply because they take too much time make. If you don’t like this, feel free to complain!

Armada MicroHangars

Wave 3 MicroHangar/GearBox combos.

My dear Armada fans, I’ve finally started work on Armada again. For starters I’ve updated the MicroHangars to v3.0, they now include the flotillas from wave 3 ships. Sadly you’ll have to wait a little while longer for wave 4, it’s not yet available here in germany.

The hangars for the flotillas are a MicroHangar/Gearbox combo, meaning you should put the whole thing (ships on stand) into the hangar, along with all stuff from the GearBox. I thought this made sense, since a MicroHangar for the two little ships would really deserve the term “micro” and the little pins on the underside are quite fragile, so leaving them in place seems reasonable. Take a look at the pictures underneath to see how everything fits nicely, even without the dials flying around and possibly damaging ships with alternative paint schemes. If you like a MicroHangar/GearBox combo better or want to have a separate GearBox anyway please let me know, I’ll see what I can do!

Huge X-Wing update!

It’s so great to have the new website off my plate, things really start to run smooth again. I didn’t count, but there are nearly 50 new or updated files to be found in the X-Wing section!

MicroHangars Wave 9

The new hangars for wave 9 are ready. There’s really nothing special in terms of handling about them, they are pretty straight forward. The Lancer-Class can be put into the hangar in two orientations, the box is practically square sized.

I’ve updated the main MicroHangar files to v9.0, they now include everything up to wave 9. Additionally, I’ve added a “v9.0add” version which only contains the new hangars. This way you don’t have to download everything else again.

PNG archives are available, as well, and of course even though the preview picture shows german hangars, there’s an english version, too.

GearBoxes Imperial Veterans and Wave 9

The Imperial Veterans finally get their own GearBoxes, sorry for the long delay. At first I simply forget to add them and shortly afterwards my free time decided to go on holiday. Here they are. In addition you’ll find GearBoxes for all wave 9 ships within the new v5.0 file. Like the MicroHangars, v5.0 contains all available GearBoxes and v5.0add gives you only the new ones. PNG archives are available, too.

PilotCards Boxes

No fancy photo, out of ink at the moment… Wave 9 boxes have been added to the Pilot Card boxes. I’ve only added size 1 boxes for now, let me know if it’s not enough. If you don’t want to download all old boxes, there’s a “v7.0add” file, as well.

In addition the generic boxes are back again, too. This one was still missing.

ReferenceCards Box

I’ve updated the ReferenceCards boxes, the listing now reads all available reference cards up to wave 9. At least it should…

I’m almost sure that the sheer amount of new file has caused me to mess something up, feel free to bother me! The wrong M3-A maneuver from the MiniManeuverCards has already been taken care of.

New donation goal

Paper and ink don’t grow on trees, and website hosting doesn’t come for free. I’m willing to pay for all this because I’m having fun and keep getting flattering comments, thank you!, but if you like to support my cause with a few bucks, I’ll be even more grateful. Further details can be found here.

There have been problems with the donation button on my old site, therefore I decided to try a new plug-in. It even allowed me to add a donation goal: I’ve always wanted to buy a pen tablet to speed up my workflow but the WAF is just not high enough to justify the expenses. She thinks there are more important things in life than all this around here. Go figure…

Other language versions

My dear friends from France, Italy and Spain. You might be waiting for localized stuff and I didn’t forget about you, I just had to put your wishes on hold and clear up the mess that my long break left behind. Furthermore I need to reorganize the way additional language versions are added, because despite my efforts to avoid this the old way is far too time consuming. But I have something in mind, please be patient. Or drop me an encouraging note…

X-Wing MiniManeuverCards v5.1

Me again, see, I’m catching up!

I’ve updated the MiniManeuverCards to v5.0, now including all wave 9 ships. There’s no png archive file, had some trouble with my master file, but instead I’ve added a separate page containing only the new cards. Hope this helps. Please let me know if you desperately need the png archive.

X-Wing PilotCards Tuckboxes available again!

Hi,

short update, the PilotCards Tuckboxes are back. And even if you don’t notice at first glance, the whole(!) set has been rebuilt completely(!!), there was a flaw in the little ship icons. All icons were slanted by accident, I’m really sorry, I don’t have a clue why I did this and – even more mysterious – why I didn’t notice earlier. Just in case you wonder why the icons look a bit different…

You can find v6.0 in the X-Wing section. That’s all for now, more stuff to come!

“Heeee’s back!”

Thanks for your patience and your kind words of understanding, I have been away for far too long. Very sorry, but I’ve been really busy with other issues and had to pause almost completely. But: The line must be drawn here. This far, no further. Enough rest and enough quoting Star Trek, I welcome you all to my brand new website, which ate up the meager remains of my free time in the past months!

You won’t find new stuff around, but now that the relaunch is complete, I will concentrate on changing this, even though I’ll have to go at a somewhat slower pace than before. Really sorry, but after all this is just a hobby. A loved one, but not my real job that pays the bills. But at least I can promise you all that I don’t intend to quit!

As you can see I’ve added Descent to my portfolio. You’ll find nothing more there than a fancy “Coming soon” sign. Take it as a teaser. You might find this sign in other places, just be patient a little longer.

That’s it for now, I’m really happy that you stayed with me and now feel free to look around! I really did my best (with the help of Theron “Wichenstaden”, thanks a BUNCH!) to arrange everything more clearly without crowding the layout. I hope I did it.
